His Refreshing
My heart is literally lifted after spending time reading the Bible, listening to worshipful music and meditating on the truth of God in the presence of God. It feels as though I've been refreshed by dipping into cool waters on a hot day, having had a massage, drinking a full glass of cold water on a hot day, or finishing a workout. Any type of physical restorative activity could be used to describe the feeling I have in my body and heart after spending time in the Bible and presence of God.He's always with me. It's just a matter of me stopping what I'm doing and turning to face Him as he's looking at me and loving on me. That's where my heart and soul find refreshing - when I turn toward Him. It's like a relationship with any person. When they're with you, spending time with you, longing for a conversation and a deep connection you have the choice to turn toward him and engage. He's there. Waiting on you. It's up to us to choose to turn toward him too. He promises that when we look toward him, he's there. He will always answer. He hears us. He knows our anguish and pains in this life, he's no stranger to them. He loves us unconditionally, earnestly. We get to choose whether we respond to him, look at him, talk with him, and listen. He has the very best plans in mind for each of us.
